VoTU stands united with American victims of state-sponsored terrorism, advocating for justice and providing essential resources to those affected by these heinous acts. Our core mission is to ensure that victims and their families receive the critical support needed to rebuild their lives.
The Genesis of VOTU
Victims of Terrorism United is a coalition of victims of terrorism, are united in our efforts to advocate for Congressional support in addressing the US Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism (USVSST) Act.
Sadly, we share a bond forged by the horrific crimes committed against us. Our communities of victims include those affected by the:
- 1979 Iranian hostage crisis
- U.S. Embassy and Embassy Annex bombings in Beirut in 1983 and 1984
- 1983 Beirut Marine Barracks bombing
- 1985 TWA Flight 847 hijacking
- 1996 Khobar Towers military housing complex bombing
- 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania
- 2000 U.S.S. Cole attack
- 9/11 terrorist attacks
- October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks
- January 2024 attack on U.S. troops in Jordan..
